Given the nature of the business, Health and Safety is of paramount importance and South West Scaffolding recognises its responsibility to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of all our customers, the public, contractors and our workforce.
To ensure we are fully compliant with the latest Health and Safety regulations and current working practices South West Scaffolding have employed the services of SSG and therefore have access to their highly experienced and knowledgeable NEBOSH qualified advisors.
South West Scaffolding has prepared a Health and Safety Policy and this document provides the framework for the company’s methodology and is essential in ensuring that hazards are identified and risks minimised in all our activities. A copy of our Health and Safety Policy is available on request.
Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Dependent on the nature of the contract and the site either formal or informal Risk Assessments are undertaken for every job. These Risk Assessments identify all hazards and defines existing and additional control methods needed to minimise the associated risks. It is important to remember that Clients also play an important role in ensuring that site conditions are as safe as practicable and that control measures that they are responsible for are in place.
South West Scaffolding has a generic Method Statement which defines the working practices that are to be employed. When it has been determined that this needs to be supplemented a site specific Method Statement is produced defining additional method of work that are to be used on that site. Both Risk Assessments and Method Statements are available on request.
All scaffolding erected by South West Scaffolding will comply with all current Health and Safety Standards as defined by the HSE and other controlling authorities.
South West Scaffolding has current Public Liability insurance cover of £5 million. We would be pleased to provide a copy of our insurance certificate upon request.
Beware! There are scaffolding companies operating with no insurance cover. We would ask you to consider the risks you are taking and the financial consequences to you in the event of something going wrong if you select a scaffold company that has no insurance cover.
