What scaffold inspections cover
A scaffold in use should be inspected at regular intervals and after any event that could affect its stability. We carry out routine inspections, post-alteration and post-adverse-weather checks, and provide handover certificates and a clear scaffold register with tagging.
This keeps the scaffold safe to use and the paperwork in order throughout the hire.
Who it's for
Inspections are for anyone with a scaffold in use, principal contractors, businesses, developers and homeowners, who needs to meet their duty to keep it safe.
We inspect our own scaffolds as standard and can discuss inspection arrangements for other situations.
Why inspections matter
There is a legal duty to inspect scaffolds at suitable intervals, generally at least every seven days, and after alterations or bad weather. Proper records demonstrate that this has been done.
Our inspections are carried out to TG20 and SG4 guidance, supported by NEBOSH-qualified health and safety expertise.
