What tie testing covers
Ties connect a scaffold to the building and are critical to its stability. Tie testing uses calibrated equipment to confirm that anchors achieve the required pull-out load, with results recorded for the project.
This includes preliminary tests to establish a safe anchor, and proof tests on a proportion of ties as the scaffold is built.
